Men and Women of the Military: Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to Men of the Military Giveaway Hop!! Thank you so much for stopping by! From November 9-15th over 100 authors are sharing military themed blogs and giving away prizes so be sure to click on the blog button above or the names below for more chances to win!!

I am a mother of three children in the Military. My two sons serve in the Navy and my daughter is a Marine. I am very proud of them, and of all the men and women that give up their lives to keep our homes safe.

The stories I write are Romantic suspense. They revolve around a group of Navy Seals, Special Ops Marines and FBI agents that risk their lives for their family and country. My stories are not so different than real life. Our men and women of the military travel for us, protect us and give up their lives for us, the same as the Guardians of Hope. The rescue squad that my series is about.

Guardians of Hope, book I

Rescued from the Dark, Set to be released February, 16th 2013

Published through Black Opal Books

BLURB:

What if you woke from a nightmare, trapped in a world of darkness, with no memory of how you got there? Rescued from the Dark is a passionate, gripping story about FBI agent, Jason Michaels, confronting his duty to his country, and struggling with his feelings for a woman with no memory of their love.

Undercover Agent,Jason Michaels, infiltrates the terrorist cell and risks everything, even his life, to save the FBI intern who stole his heart, then walked away. Once Mercy wakes from her coma Jason struggles with the fact that she does not remember what happened, but anguishes with the idea that she believes their unborn child belongs to her ex. Jason soon realizes the terrorists vow to get her back to claim their secrets locked in her memory, no matter what the cost. In a race against time, Jason and Mercy struggle to fight their attraction, and put their differences aside, as they launch a manhunt to save their country and each other.

Last Chance to Run: Work in Progress.

What if you found out the daughter you buried was alive and being held captive by a man you thought you killed?

Ron Daily, head of FBI’s Counterintelligence Department, races to save his daughter, Tracy, as she escapes from her captives for one Last Chance to Run.

EXCERPT from Rescued from the Dark:

An explosion ricocheted behind Jason Michael’s eyes as the pressure mounted in his head. The rush of panic consumed him. He struggled to move, tried to swallow, but nothing. His throat burned as the flames engulfed his lungs. He needed to breathe but couldn’t. Shit. He strained to make out the muffled voice, but the pounding in his ears erased all hope. His head started to spin and he succumbed to the realization, this was it, the end. He won. The flames dampened and his heartbeat slowed as the drums subsided, then the voice became clear.

“Give it to him now you son of a bitch. What were you thinking? We still need him.”

In a split second, Jason sucked in a breath, causing stabbing pains to shoot through his chest. Every muscle fiber burned as the cold blast of air shot through his lungs releasing the oxygen his body craved. He arched his back, raising his chest up to pull in more air when his head snapped to the side and the crack from his neck echoed in his ears. The pain jolted his jaw, racing across his cheekbone. Before he could gather his senses, intense burning set his face on fire. What the hell

The slap against his cheek stung, and his eyes snapped open. He wrenched upright, hitting his head on the roof of the SUV. His gaze darted back and forth looking for something familiar until he locked onto the ice-cold stare of the devil himself, Shaun Flanagan.

Damnthat was close. Jason could not blow his cover, even if it meant he would die as David Logan and not Jason Michaels.

Follow along with the rest of the stops. There are many great authors to meet and prizes to be won. I am giving away a $10.00 amazon gift card to one lucky follower. So remember to leave an e-mail.

  1. I don't currently know anyone who's in the military, but my grandfather was a soldier during WW2.

  2. Those excerpts (and blurbs) sound great! Can't wait to read them 😀 And I am loving this blog hop because (1) I am a huge supporter of the military given how many in my family are retired members of the Army, and (2) I am running into awesome blogs by writers and reviewers which is always fun. Good luck and best wishes with your writing! (I'm in the middle of edits on my 1st novel and in the middle of NaNo. And currently, since I'm hopping around blogs, am procrastinating with both! )

  3. Tell your children thank you for serving in our military! I truly appreciate it! It is a lot of sacrifice on them and their families.
I am excited about your novel! Loved the excerpt. Congrats on your upcoming release!!
